Here are some highlights from this past weekend: Boys Cross Country -- Senior Cole McCraw placed 1st indivdually in Friday's Pinckney-Brighton dual meet, crossing the line in 16:08.1. Teammate Lincoln Reed was 4th in 16:53.1, while John Rochowiak was 5th in 16:59.16. The Pirates lost to the Bulldogs, 26-31. Boys Soccer -- Pinckney picked up its first victory of the season Friday night, defeating Linden, 2-0. Collin Gardner and Leland Brown scored second-half goals for the Pirates (1-1), while goaltender Mason Minhinnick recorded 13 saves. Girls Cross Country -- Pinckney senior Jaelyn Ray finished 2nd out of 258 runners in Friday's Lamplighter Invitational in Livonia. She stopped the clock in 18:13.5, 12 seconds faster than last year when she also finished runner-up. Teammate Val Garcia placed 29th in 19:51.8. Girls Swim & Dive -- Junior Emily Clark placed 1st in the diving competition with a score of 200.35 at Saturday's Kenzie Classic in Howell.
