Here are some highlights from this past week... Boys Soccer -- Congrats to the varsity boys’ soccer team, which posted two SEC victories this past week, defeating Lincoln, 1-0, and Jackson, 3-2. Senior Collin Gardner scored goals in both matches, while freshman Leland Brown netted two goals in the win over Jackson. Pinckney is back in action on Tuesday, September 8 at Tecumseh. Volleyball -- Pinckney’s varsity volleyball squad went 3-1 this past week, winning at Jackson Northwest on Tuesday and then knocking off Ann Arbor Huron and New Boston Huron on Thursday. The Pirates are now 7-4 on the season heading into a September SEC opener at home against Ypsilanti. Field Hockey -- The varsity girls’ field hockey team suffered a heart-breaking 3-2 loss at the hands of Brighton last Monday, with junior captain Addy Morgan scoring both of Pinckney’s goals. The Pirates return to action on September 9 at home against Birmingham United.
